Communication, coordination, and collaboration are basic needs in the Information Society and we have observed significant advances in technology over the last decades enabling us to bridge the gaps in time and space in our working and living environment.

"Telecooperation" encapsulates this concept and stands for the fusion of computer science, telecommunication and multimedia.

The research focus of the Telecooperation department is on the development and evaluation of Telecooperation services and applications. We formulate the hypothesis that the success of applications and services will depend on the quality of service (QoS) level at which they can be operated. In this context, We want to broaden the traditional scope of QoS including not only quantitative performance characteristics but also aspects of usability, economic value, and personal benefits expected by the user.

Specific areas of interest are multimedia services and applications, mobility support, and coordination / collaboration aspects of cooperative work.

We also guarantee quality of service in our research work and are looking forward to cooperate in the areas listed above!
